“We are trying to build up extensive records which will be of value to a future historian...

“It is highly important that the factual material be placed in our files in such a way that there can be no substantial distortion...

“We want to keep enlarging on this idea for the sake of the full length history to come...”

— Bill W., 1957

The Archives Corner of the Central Office

Lansing Central AA Archives Committee was formed in 2011 and reports to the Lansing Central Office Executive Committee. Currently the committee consists of 4 volunteers. We follow the Archive Guidelines as outlined by AA World Service.

The purpose of the Lansing Central AA Archives Committee is to preserve materials related to the history and evolution of AA in the Greater Lansing area. Access to these materials is provided by the continuous displays at the Central Office and displays at AA-related events throughout the year.

The Central Office Archives committee follows the G.S.O. Archives Collection Policy. If you have materials you feel would be appropriate to an archives collection please contact the archives Committee or the Lansing Central Office.

Monetary contributions directed to the Archives activities are also accepted provided they follow the AA World Services guidelines

If you would like to contribute to the LCAA Archives please email the Archive committee directly, the Lansing Central Office or call the Lansing Central Office at (517) 377-1444 during business hours.
